A Centenary of St. Joseph's Parish – Mboro

1912 – 2012 Motto: Evangelize all the people  St. Joseph's Parish - Mboro  Brief History of the Parish The Parish of Mboro is founded in 1912, by a Comboni missionary Fr. Angelo Arpe; during the time of the Chief Mboo Pekopo. In 1915, the mission of Mboro was closed due to lack of personnel, given the fact that Fr. Arpe was transferred to Kayango. In 1916, requested by our chief Mboo, Frs. Arpe, Vincenzo Ghiotto and Festa reopened the Mission of Mboro. In March 18th 1918 in the vigil of saint Joseph husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary was inaugurated a church and is dedicated to St. Joseph. Objectives of the Celebration We owned this moment of a hundred year of Evangelization as a time of renewal in faith of all the Christians.
